Misato is a hidden gem right in town. Located conveniently within Gastro+ in Centrepoint, it is a value-for-money Japanese restaurant opened by a Singaporean who is enthusiastic about Japanese food and culture. The food at Misato are generally well executed with on-point flavours. Personally, I will recommend their Seafood Kaminabe Set, Cha Soba and Tonkatsu Set. While not the best out there, they are definitely way above average and worth it for the price. For desserts, just order as you wish- you won't go wrong with any of them!

The Providore @Mandarin Gallery is one of the busiest Providore outlets; hardly a surprise because of its superb location. Accessible yet exclusive, it is hidden from view on the second level of Mandarin Gallery but can easily be reached by riding up Mandarin Gallery's hard-to-miss outdoor escalator along Orchard Road. The restaurant also features an outdoor space for people watching, a communal table for large groups, small tables for intimate chats and a wine room for alcohol lovers, pleasing almost everyone.

I am still undecided about whether I would recommend The Dark Gallery Flagship Cafe to Chocolate Lovers and Dessert Fans. Based on what I have tried, the offerings are pretty decent for a cafe but not impressive enough for a chocolate specialty place. Then again, to be fair, I have yet to try their famed products like the Dark Chocolate Gelato and Signature Dark Chocolate Cake. Shall update after I have tried!

My Favourite Cafe @Lucky Plaza
The main ingredients of Yong Tau Foo, which are tofu and various vegetables stuffed with minced meat or fish paste, seldom taste very different from stall to stall. What set various stalls apart are the variety and freshness of the ingredients offered plus the kind of sauce/gravy used. My Favourite Café does well in all 3 categories by offering over 30 different fresh ingredients and a nice though optional curry gravy. But that’s not all. They also have two secret weapons; their homemade meatballs and braised mushrooms.

The Dark Gallery Cafe @Takashimaya
I am still undecided about whether I would recommend The Dark Gallery Flagship Cafe to Chocolate Lovers and Dessert Fans. Based on what I have tried, the offerings are pretty decent for a cafe but not impressive enough for a chocolate specialty place. Then again, to be fair, I have yet to try their famed products like the Dark Chocolate Gelato and Signature Dark Chocolate Cake. Shall update after I have tried!

My Favourite Cafe @Lucky Plaza
The main ingredients of Yong Tau Foo, which are tofu and various vegetables stuffed with minced meat or fish paste, seldom taste very different from stall to stall. What set various stalls apart are the variety and freshness of the ingredients offered plus the kind of sauce/gravy used. My Favourite Café does well in all 3 categories by offering over 30 different fresh ingredients and a nice though optional curry gravy. But that’s not all. They also have two secret weapons; their homemade meatballs and braised mushrooms.
