Ms Teatime Says:

The former Blackbird Bistro & Bar serving New Zealand inspired food and wines has been re-branded as etto, which stands for "Enjoy Tasty Things Only". After the re-brand, I can see etto inching away from Blackbird's dark and mysterious (some say cozy) image to become more cheerful and light-hearted. The signboard is now a bright orange and they have also added plants, light coloured ceilings and brighter lighting. As someone who likes dining at bright spaces, I like the new etto!

Menu seems to include more items and they now serve healthy DIY Lunch Bowls where you choose your own grains, greens, protein, dressing and toppings. Some Signature Blackbird mains like the Southern Burger are still available. But most importantly for me, they are still serving a value-for-money Tea Set daily and Free WiFi is still available!

etto's Tea Set is priced affordably at S$14++ and it includes 4 mini items plus a drink of your choice. While most inexpensive tea sets offers only one type of coffee and tea, etto allows us to choose from a vast selection of 10 teas (by Tea Forte) and different types of coffee (including Cappuccino, Latte and Mocha, both hot and iced). And they serve a pretty good cappuccino!
Food wise, we get to pick from an assortment of savouries and sweets, which are miniatures of items served in etto's main menu. This is fantastic because it works like a sampler to help us decide if it is worth coming here for a full meal someday. Another plus point is that we can choose to have only savouries or sweets or a mixture of both!
