Mr Good Says:
For those of you staying in the west side of Singapore, are you sick of hearing your friends boast about the wonderful cafes they have in the east or central Singapore? I know I am.
The next time they boast, shut them up with the number 39! More specifically W39, our very own hidden gem nested within the landed estate in Clementi!
Serving fuss-free but well executed European food infused with Asian influences, W39 Bistro & Bakery will not disappoint regardless if you are looking for a lazy weekend brunch, an intimate family dinner or a simple coffee break.
That said, I prefer to visit W39 for dinner and teatime. I am someone who likes variety so I do find their brunch menu a tad limited (9 choices) and mainstream in terms of quality. Comparatively, the dinner options are plentiful and more unique. Cakes are also a strength of W39 (did you know that they are the first to sell the Rainbow Cake in Singapore?), making teatime a good time to visit.
Opened by Jasmine and Jamie Lu, a pair of sisters in their twenties with a passion for sharing good food with family and friends, the bistro exudes a relaxing and cozy feel, making it the ideal place to wind down and enjoy life with tasty food, delicious cakes and free WiFi.
And wait, there's more! Adding icing to the cake, W39 Bistro also welcomes you to bring your furry friends to chill and relax at their alfresco seating area. (Caveat: There are no dog food available.)
Oh! And for those of you who have visited W39 some time back (before their recent menu revamp), do visit again! You will be pleasantly surprised to find that they have widened their menu and even lowered their prices while still serving quality grub and yummy bakes.
