Mr Good Says:
If you need a classy place for pizzas with alcohol, PizzaExpress will be ideal. Boasting an open kitchen, you can also observe happy staffs making your pizzas while you dine and wine.
PizzaExpress serves both pizzas and pastas but I only tried their pizzas. For pizzas, you can choose from their wide range of traditional and local inspired flavours (think laksa or chilli crab) or their eat-all-you-can brunch pizza buffet. Personally I prefer the thinner crust pizzas in their main menu over the egg-centric brunch pizzas, which are smaller in size and served on thicker pizza bases. However, the brunch pizzas may please those who simply loves eggs in all their pizzas!
Hearing the name PizzaExpress, you may think that this is an express (speedy) pizza place that sells ready made pizzas for immediate consumption. On the contrary, as an United Kingdom (UK) eatery established in 1965 when "Express" was frequently associated with luxury and class, PizzaExpress was so named because it was meant to be an upmarket pizza restaurant.
Today, PizzaExpress has about 430 outlets in UK and 70 outlets internationally, each one tastefully decorated with its unique theme to provide a comfortable dining ambiance for all their guests. In Singapore's second outlet at Duo Galleria, PizzaExpress has integrated elements of its surroundings of Bugis Street in the interior design. Come visit if you would like to enjoy freshly made pizzas at a leisurely pace with some alcohol.
