Ms Teatime Says:
By mere chance, I discovered Entre-Nous, a quaint little French Creperie situated next to the MINT Museum of Toys. Entre-Nous Creperie is a family run restaurant serving Brittany crepes and French staples like the French onion soup, escargots and crème brulee. Being a Creperie, their forte is in crepes, offering sweet crepes made from organic wheat flour and savory galettes made from buckwheat flour, served with a huge variety of different toppings.
I have not tried French crepes while in France so I'm not the best person to tell you if this Creperie is genuinely French. But regardless of their authenticity, their crepes are good enough that I was planning my second visit before I even finished the last bite! Since then (Sep 2016), I have re-visted Entre-Nous numerous times with Mr Good.

On our recent visit, we finally digressed from our usual crepes to try out their dinner offerings. As expected, the galette (crispy buckwheat galette with roasted chicken, mustard and onions) was very delicious! But to our surprise, even the onion soup and escargots (though not presented in the way we are used to) were very well executed! Basically, everything is nice! So make your way here already!
Okay! So now you are here but what if you are at a lost what to order from the extensive crepe menu? Simple, go for the Chef’s Recommendations! As a family run restaurant, Entre-Nous’s Chef’s Recommendations are cutely named Geraldine’s Favourite, Stephan’s Favourite and Faustine’s Favourite. These represent the best-loved crepes and galettes of the owners and their daughter. Another one will be Entre-Nous (named after their restaurant). Like other Chef's recommendations here, Entre-Nous is also available in both sweet crepe and savoury galette versions. We love Entre-Nous (sweet crepe version), which is the salted butter caramel crepe.

Those who love a good salted caramel dessert will enjoy Entre-Nous as much as us. Made from organic wheat flour, the slightly chewy crepe pairs exceptionally well with the homemade salted butter caramel, which tasted like it achieved the perfect ratio of sugar to butter to cream. Creamy and rich, the amber coloured caramel was a complex mix of delicious flavors. Slightly sweet, sufficiently salty and not too milky with a hint of burnt scent, it was addictive. If crispy crepes are your thing, you can also request for the Entre-Nous crepe to be made with buckwheat flour instead. But in my opinion, salted butter caramel goes better with soft wheat crepe than crispy buckwheat crepe. Trust me, I tried both so I know!

If you are one who likes desserts with ice cream, Faustine’s Favourite will be a good choice. This delightful sweet crepe is generously doused with their addictive and subtly sweet homemade chocolate sauce then topped with a less generous scoop of homemade coconut sherbet. While tiny, the coconut sherbet is fortunately very rich, creamy and not too sweet. And what sets it apart is the wonderful textured mouthfeel it gives due to the addition of shredded coconut.
For the longest time, I have always paired desserts (particularly chocolate ones like brownies, lava cakes & chocolate crepes) with vanilla ice cream. But Faustine's Favourite taught me something, coconut is the one meant for chocolate, not vanilla!
