Mr Good Says:
At first look, En Sakaba is a restaurant that serves only sake and sushi. Both Ms Teatime and I are not fond of alcohol and raw food so we never thought of trying it even though we walk past the eatery every week. One day, my colleagues suggested here for lunch; we went, we tried and we were hooked!
The dish that got us hooked was the "Braised Pork Cheek Don"!

The braised pork cheek at En Sakaba comes a little charred and has a rich savory pork flavour (the delicious kind). It also pairs awesomely with the Japanese rice, soft boiled egg and slightly sweet sauce. Personally, I think this pork cheek even triumphs over the ones at Gochiso Shokudo (charcoal grilled) and Santouka Ramen (braised) maybe because it is braised and grilled combining the best of both worlds.
Mr Bargain Hunter recommends to order this dish during lunch time as it is offered as a set at S$20++. The set comes with a salad, appetizer, asari miso soup (got clam inside one), Haagen Dazs ice cream and japanese green tea! Mr Bargain Hunter has little to complain on this comprehensive set lunch especially when it is available daily (before 3pm) even on weekends. Considering that En Sakaba is located at a busy suburban mall next to MRT, the weekend set lunch is really a steal!
