Shop/Food Review
Mr Good Says:
In Singapore, latte art has become so common that I EXPECT to receive latte art whenever I order a white coffee at a cafe (cafes serving local coffee are excluded). So while latte art may have started as a extra service, it is now a minimum requirement for me. And because I cafe hop often, the hearts and swans art are getting a little boring.
If you are like me, check out Carol Mel Cafe and let their resident barista Damien wow you with one of his new creations! If you have a picture in mind, Damien can usually replicate it for you too! Some of his creations include the sakura latte art and personalized latte art (with your name), which will make you feel extra special at no extra charge!
While you are enjoying your cuppa, don't forget to order their Crispy Mid Wings, Zhi-Char Salted Egg Luncheon Fries or Signature Whimsical Waffle to go along. Although these items are nothing revolutionary, Carol Mel has executed them very well. For mains, their Roast Chicken and Rakuzen Seafood Cold Pasta are worth a go!
For those of you who do not drink coffee, not to worry! You can still join in the latte art fun by ordering a matcha/chocolate latte. Sometimes, you can also get off the menu specials like Sesame/Taro/Sweet Potato/Thai Milk Tea lattes! Just ask!
