Ms Teatime Says:
I first visited BLVD Changi City Point for their weekday lunch but what impressed most was their in-house bakes. Since my first try, I will drop by BLVD for cakes every time I am at Singapore Expo for a fair.
On weekdays, BLVD Changi City Point can be pretty packed since their chillax alfresco setting attracts quite a pool of expats who are working nearby. No lunch set is available. Lunch items range from S$15++ to S$24++ with 15 choices. Not cheap but still affordable considering their portions.

On my maiden visit, I shared their Double Cheese Foccacia Burger (S$16++), Oven Roasted Chicken (S$15++) and Creamy Pancetta Tagliatelle (S$18++) with a couple of friends. Among them, I enjoyed the Oven Roasted Chicken most. The marinate was really superb! Pity that we had the breast and wing parts so the meat was a little dry.

On weekends, they also serve brunch, small plates, cured meats, pastas, burgers and beech wood stone hearth oven baked pizzas along with alcohol. I highly recommend the Proscuitto Di Parma (Large only, S$68++), which is a hand-stretched thin crust pizza topped with 24 months aged parma ham, cheese and spinach. I like that their thin crust pizza is neither wafer-thin nor biscuit-like but one that retains some thickness and sufficient bite. The parma ham topping is generous and delicious.
That said, their cakes, particularly the cheesecakes, are what draws me back time and again. I am not a fan of American cheesecakes as I find them too rich. Yet, I am unsatisfied by Japanese cheesecakes because they are too light. BLVD offers me the perfect in-between.

My favourite of the lot is their Marble Cheesecake, one that melts-in-the-mouth and has a distinct chocolate taste amidst the cheese goodness. That may seem like a given, but before this, I have encountered so many marble cakes that has no chocolate taste.
