Ms Teatime Says:

Your stairway to Poppy Pops (a mini paradise)!

Hidden on Level 6 of JEM (access from Koufu food court), Poppy Pops offers a respite for shoppers in the otherwise crowded mall. As you ascend the escalator from the busy food court, it will feel like you are instantaneously transported to another world; from a busy urban mall to a tranquil garden.

Sunset View

Utilizing full height glass walls, the naturally sun-lit cafe has the privilege of being the only cafe nested within a beautiful urban garden, making it peaceful and exclusive. On a clear day, you can enjoy a nice sunset view in the cafe while on rainy days, the charming cafe can be a dreamy place for you to watch the rain drops.

The best part is that ambiance is not the only strength of Poppy Pops as they offer quite a handful of unique and delicious snacks. Instead of processed popcorn chicken and unimaginative fries, Poppy Pops serves homemade chicken maple bites, Mentaiko fries and zucchini chips. For desserts, they also have cute homemade gelato on sticks and ondeh/red velvet donuts. More substantial items like ravioli and burgers are also available though I have yet to try them. Drinks are decidedly less interesting (mostly Nespresso Coffees, Twinings Teas, beers and some homemade iced beverages) but suffice for a simple afternoon tea. And did I mention that Free WiFi is available here?

Food Photos

See photos of food that My Food Story has tasted. Recommended food are marked with ().
Poppy Classic - Vietnamese Coffee, Thai Milk Tea (S$4.80 Nett each), Classic Waffle (Add on S$2.80 Nett)
Classic Popsicle comes with FREE topping and chocolate coating. Waffles are nicely chewy instead of crispy; I prefer them without chocolate sauce.
Poppy Trio - Mini Vanilla, Chocolate, Cheesecake (S$6 Nett), Classic Waffle (Add On S$2.80 Nett)
Mini tasting sizes are perfect for you to try more variety. However, they melt faster than classic ones.
Buffalo Wings (S$10 Nett)
I like the tangy marinate!
Buffalo Wings (S$10 Nett)
Maple Chicken Poppers (S$8 Nett)
These bite sized homemade poppers have super crispy skin and juicy meat. Only downside is that portion is slightly small.
Zucchini Chips (S$8 Nett)
I love this! Thinly sliced zucchini coated with light batter sprinkled with spice and chilli. Makes a healthier snack.
Zucchini Chips (S$8 Nett)
Flat White (S$5 Nett)
Just Nespresso coffee.
Cappuccino (S$5 Nett)
Just Nespresso coffee.
Hot Chocolate (S$6 Nett)
Cute Presentation. Not overly sweet or milky. But chocolate becomes lukewarm after I finished stirring.
Iced Chocolate (S$6 Nett)
Served with a cute mini chocolate popsicle that thickens your drink as it melts.
Matcha Latte (S$6 Nett)
Peppermint Tea (S$6 Nett)
Just Twinings teabag tea. But it comes in a really big pot!
Yuzu Chrysanthemum (S$6 Nett)
Lightly sweetened and quite an unique flavour.
Green Tea Lemonade (S$6 Nett)
